A graduate of the University of Alaska, Anchorage Fine Arts program, Cary started his career as a designer and art director for local Anchorage advertising firms between 1993 and 2000. During that time, he performed work for numerous high-profile clients, including AT&T Alascom, Alaska Travel and Tourism, BP Alaska, and countless others.
He branched out to start his own company, Cary King Design, which was rebranded into Red Carrot Design with his wife and business partner, Jill, in 2007.
Cary is a sustaining member of AIGA, the professional association for design and has been an active member since 2002.
Cary is a founding member of AIGA Alaska, the 65th chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design. Cary was elected its president in 2010 and continues to serve as an advisor for the board of directors.
