Cary M. King



Cary graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Alaska, Anchorage in 1993. He first began his career in Anchorage, AK working at local advertising firms. Cary worked as a designer and senior art director on various high-profile accounts. Then in 2002, Cary launched his own business, Cary King Design. A few years later in 2007, Cary and his wife Jill merged into one dynamic design studio, now known as Red Carrot Design, Inc. Together, they are bringing both talents under one cohesive roof.

Cary was an adjunct professor at the University of Alaska, Anchorage from 2011 to 2013. At UAA, Cary taught the intermediate and advanced graphic design course. “Teaching was an excellent opportunity for me to give back to my alma mater and inspire the next generation of designers.”

Cary is a sustaining member of AIGA, the professional association for design and has been an active member since 2002. He is also a founding member of AIGA Alaska, the 65th chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design. Cary was elected its president in 2010 and continues to serve as an advisor for the board of directors.
