This project was a comprehensive lakeside interior redesign focused on transforming an outdated, compartmentalized home into a modern, airy sanctuary. At Red Carrot Design, we specialize in seeing the “hidden potential” in older floor plans and bringing them into the current era through SASS-y design.

The SASS-y Solution

• Stylish: We swapped heavy, dated finishes for a modern, contemporary aesthetic. A palette of crisp whites, natural woods, and slate blues was used to mirror the lakeside surroundings, creating a high-end, stylish vibe.

• Approachable: Large-scale redesigns can sometimes feel sterile. We ensured this home remained Approachable by layering soft textiles and creating “intimate pockets” of seating within the new open-concept layout.

• Supportive: The original home lacked flow. Our Supportive redesign removed visual barriers, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the house and improving the overall energy and movement of the space.

• Singular: The Singular feature of this project is the custom window-wall integration, which perfectly frames the lakeside views, making the landscape the home's primary “art piece.”
