Teen Lounge: A Functional Room Transformation
This project involved a complete interior styling transformation, turning a former child's playroom into a sophisticated, functional teen lounge. At Red Carrot Design, we help families navigate the "evolution" of their homes as their children grow, ensuring their spaces remain Supportive of their changing needs.
The SASS-y Solution
Stylish: We traded toys for a Modern Contemporary vibe. By using sleek furniture and a more mature color palette, the room became a stylish hangout spot that the teens are proud to show off to friends.
Approachable: A lounge has to be comfortable. We created an approachable seating area with modular pieces that can be easily rearranged for gaming, movies, or studying.
Supportive: The room was designed to support a teenager's lifestyle. We integrated hidden storage for tech gear and plenty of charging stations, keeping the space organized and functional.
Singular: The singular touch in this room is the custom "media wall" with integrated lighting, giving the lounge a high-end, cinematic feel that sets it apart from a standard basement room.
