Desert Modern Makeover: Superstition Mountain

Upon entering this semi-Spanish home, we saw an opportunity to honor the client’s cherished pieces and shape a space that supports daily well-being. Our approach focused on a full aesthetic refresh that nurtures tranquility, all without disruptive construction.

With our SASS-y Design philosophy, we preserved the home’s wall color for seamless continuity and enhanced natural light and flow, transforming the space into a tranquil, tailored sanctuary.

Entryway: Turkish and Spanish influences shine through a custom gold-and-black star ceiling, modern lighting, a lightwood credenza, an animal-print rug, and an oversized mirror for a warm welcome.

Formal Dining Room: We added a modern botanical chandelier, vintage bird-print wallpaper, gold wallpaper, a marble pedestal table, and green velvet chairs to create a vibrant, inviting dining area.

Kitchen & Breakfast Nook: We brightened the heart of the home with a cream-painted island, botanical lights, coral ceiling, ebony beams, gold velvet drapes, and zebra-print chairs.

Living Room: Gold chandeliers, a cream sectional, recliners, a dark fireplace column, and whimsical wallpaper behind the bookcases combine to create a modern, personal space.

Lounge: We retained the media wall and designed the lounge with a cow-print tray ceiling, blue velvet swivel chairs, a nutmeg loveseat, and an abstract rug for a cozy retreat.

Primary Suite: We refreshed this retreat with a ceiling-inspired headboard, colorful wallpaper, gold mirrors, a tufted window couch, wood-and-marble nightstands, and botanical drapes for a bespoke sanctuary.

Passageway & Primary Bath: More light enters after the cabinet is removed. We added a gold-star ceiling, French mirror, peacock wallpaper, globe lights, and yellow velvet curtains.

Powder Bath: We refreshed the vanity to match the hydrangea wallpaper and added a large gold mirror above the window for modern elegance.
